The Marronnier College of Fashion Design is one of the most traditional fashion colleges in Japan, founded in 1949. Since its foundation, a large number of the graduates have been on the front line of the fashion industry. Madeleine Vionnet said “When a woman smiles, that dress must also laugh.” Inspired by her clothes told that it exceeds the era, while treating the ancient spirit of Japan, while utilizing the excellent Western knowledge and techniques that are handed down from the present age, harmonize and develop the two I made it the concept.

マドレーヌ・ヴィオネは“女性が笑うとき、そのドレスも笑わなければ”と言った。時代を超えるとまで言われた彼女の服にインスピレーションを受け、日本古来の精神を大切にしつつ、現代も受け継がれるような優れた西洋の知識・技術を活用し、両者を調和・発展させていくことをコンセプトにしました。
#GFW Graduate Fashion Week – Swarovski International Catwalk Competition
Fashion students from top universities around the world presented collections during Graduate Fashion Week held annually in London. GFW *17 was held at Old Truman Brewery in Shorditch including the world famous International Catwalk Competition sponsored this year by SwarovskiFashion. The winner of this year’s competition is menswear designer Po-Chieh Chiu, who is invited to showcase his collection with Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week in September.
